Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cabin: Sketch I by Michael Andrews was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 68,062.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,265,000.00 (€ 1,518,412.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cabin: Sketch I von Michael Andrews wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 68.062,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Andrews erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.265.000,00 (€ 1.518.412,80).
