Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy by Mi Wanzhong was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,828.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mi Wanzhong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 65,648.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy von Mi Wanzhong wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.828,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mi Wanzhong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 65.648,85).
