Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Poem In Running Script by Mi Wanzhong. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,310.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mi Wanzhong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 65,648.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Running Script von Mi Wanzhong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.310,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mi Wanzhong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 65.648,85).
