This artwork by Mi Wanzhong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Poem in Cursive Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,010.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mi Wanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 65,648.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mi Wanzhong erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem in Cursive Script Calligraphy für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.010,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mi Wanzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 65.648,85).
