Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mi Wanzhong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2003. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 155,350.00 (€ 17,222.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mi Wanzhong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2005 for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 65,648.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mi Wanzhong erzielte im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy für HKD 155.350,00 (€ 17.222,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mi Wanzhong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2005 für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 65.648,85) versteigert wurde.
