Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy by Mi Wanzhong was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 41,825.00 (€ 4,213.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mi Wanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 65,648.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy von Mi Wanzhong wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 41.825,00 (€ 4.213,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mi Wanzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 65.648,85).
