It achieved a price of HKD 131,450.00 (€ 14,572.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Admittedly, works by Mi Wanzhong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in November 2005 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 65,648.85).

Die Arbeit Lin Fu With Plum Blossoms And Crane von Mi Wanzhong wurde im Oktober 2003 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 131.450,00 (€ 14.572,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mi Wanzhong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 65.648,85).
