The work Three portrait studies of Burmese figures (3) by Mg Tun Hla was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,152.00 (€ 1,340.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mg Tun Hla - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Shwedagon Pagoda, which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 35,700.00 (€ 3,822.24).

Die Arbeit Three portrait studies of Burmese figures (3) von Mg Tun Hla kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.152,00 (€ 1.340,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Mg Tun Hla mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Shwedagon Pagoda beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 35.700,00 (€ 3.822,24) versteigert wurde.
