Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A set of five full length portrait studies of Burmese figures in traditional dress each 19 x 14.6cm (7 1/2 x 5 3/4in). (5) by Mg Tun Hla was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,662.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mg Tun Hla - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Shwedagon Pagoda, which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 35,700.00 (€ 3,822.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A set of five full length portrait studies of Burmese figures in traditional dress each 19 x 14.6cm (7 1/2 x 5 3/4in). (5) von Mg Tun Hla kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.662,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mg Tun Hla mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Shwedagon Pagoda beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 35.700,00 (€ 3.822,24) versteigert wurde.
