Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The moat, Mandalay, Burma; A Burmese fisherman's hut, a pair each 18.4 x 22.6cm (7 1/4 x 8 7/8in). (2) by Mg Tun Hla was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,813.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mg Tun Hla - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Shwedagon Pagoda, which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 35,700.00 (€ 3,822.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The moat, Mandalay, Burma; A Burmese fisherman's hut, a pair each 18.4 x 22.6cm (7 1/4 x 8 7/8in). (2) von Mg Tun Hla kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.813,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mg Tun Hla mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Shwedagon Pagoda beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 35.700,00 (€ 3.822,24) versteigert wurde.
