This artwork by Merlyn Evans achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2012. In the 20th Century British & Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 29,591.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Merlyn Evans; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Time King (Vertical Abstraction No. 2) sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 39,630.75).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Merlyn Evans erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 29.591,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Merlyn Evans; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Time King (Vertical Abstraction No. 2) im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 39.630,75).
