Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary, which included this untitled work by Mercedes Pardo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,579.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mercedes Pardo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Un pequeño sobresalto in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 78,143.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mercedes Pardo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.579,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mercedes Pardo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Un pequeño sobresalto im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 78.143,00).
