Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Composición by Mercedes Pardo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,874.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mercedes Pardo have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2021 the work Un pequeño sobresalto was auctioned for USD 88,200.00 (€ 78,143.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composición von Mercedes Pardo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 77.874,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Mercedes Pardo konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2021 die Arbeit Un pequeño sobresalto für USD 88.200,00 (€ 78.143,00) versteigert.
