Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled No. 15 by Melinda Harper was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2004. The price achieved of AUD 4,780.00 (€ 2,774.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Melinda Harper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2002 for AUD 14,687.50 (€ 8,386.90).

Die Arbeit Untitled No. 15 von Melinda Harper kam im August 2004 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.780,00 (€ 2.774,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Melinda Harper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für AUD 14.687,50 (€ 8.386,90) versteigert wurde.
