Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Melinda Harper was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in May 2004. The price achieved of AUD 1,195.00 (€ 698.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Melinda Harper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2002 with an auction result of AUD 14,687.50 (€ 8,386.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Melinda Harper kam im Mai 2004 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 1.195,00 (€ 698,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Melinda Harper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 14.687,50 (€ 8.386,90).
