Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (The Storm) by Meera Mukherjee. It changed hands for a price of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 144,190.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Meera Mukherjee have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March last year the work Untitled (Mango Orchard) was auctioned for USD 226,800.00 (€ 204,453.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (The Storm) von Meera Mukherjee zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 144.190,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Meera Mukherjee konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März letzten Jahres die Arbeit Untitled (Mango Orchard) für USD 226.800,00 (€ 204.453,26) versteigert.
