Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Meera Mukherjee achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2017. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Boatsmen) sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,102.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Meera Mukherjee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Mango Orchard) in March last year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 204,453.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Meera Mukherjee erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Boatsmen) für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.102,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Meera Mukherjee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Mango Orchard) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 204.453,26).
