Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Santur Player by Meera Mukherjee was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 81,900.00 (€ 73,830.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Meera Mukherjee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Mango Orchard), which sold at auction in March last year for USD 226,800.00 (€ 204,453.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Santur Player von Meera Mukherjee kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 73.830,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Meera Mukherjee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Mango Orchard) beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 226.800,00 (€ 204.453,26) versteigert wurde.
