It achieved a price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,573.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Meera Mukherjee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Mango Orchard) in March last year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 204,453.26).

Die Arbeit Empty Bowl von Meera Mukherjee wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.573,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Meera Mukherjee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Mango Orchard) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 204.453,26).
