Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Over the Border by Maynard Dixon was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maynard Dixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pony Boy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 1,326,000.00 (€ 1,562,573.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Over the Border von Maynard Dixon kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.285,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maynard Dixon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pony Boy im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.326.000,00 (€ 1.562.573,65).
