The work Glory After Storm by Maynard Dixon was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 126,375.00 (€ 119,934.52), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maynard Dixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pony Boy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 1,326,000.00 (€ 1,562,573.65).

Die Arbeit Glory After Storm von Maynard Dixon wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 126.375,00 (€ 119.934,52) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maynard Dixon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pony Boy im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.326.000,00 (€ 1.562.573,65).
