In December 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II, which included the work Powell Street, San Francisco, 1947 by Max Yavno. The result of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,927.08) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Yavno achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Muscle Beach in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 28,750.00 (€ 22,187.07).

Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Powell Street, San Francisco, 1947 von Max Yavno zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.927,08) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Yavno erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Muscle Beach im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.750,00 (€ 22.187,07).
