In the Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II auction, the work Muscle Beach, 1949 sold for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,046.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Max Yavno have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muscle Beach in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 28,750.00 (€ 22,187.07).
