Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Poultry and a peacock in a summer landscape by Max Hänger. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 1,989.34 (€ 874.44), 24% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Hänger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ducks and wildfowl by a stream, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,817.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poultry and a peacock in a summer landscape von Max Hänger zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 1.989,34 (€ 874,44) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Hänger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ducks and wildfowl by a stream beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.817,46) versteigert wurde.
