Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Poultry in a farmyard by Max Hänger for GBP 293.75 (€ 460.02). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Hänger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ducks and wildfowl by a stream, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,817.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Poultry in a farmyard von Max Hänger für GBP 293,75 (€ 460,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Hänger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ducks and wildfowl by a stream beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.817,46) versteigert wurde.
