Despite a disappointment, a good price for Max Hänger
When the work Ducks and wildfowl by a stream by Max Hänger was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,817.46). Despite this disappointing result, Ducks and wildfowl by a stream is the most expensive artwork by Max Hänger that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Max Hänger
Als die Arbeit Ducks and wildfowl by a stream von Max Hänger im Juni 2002 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.817,46) den Besitzer.
