Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Max Bill achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Geneva in March 2005. In the SCHWEIZER KUNST auction, the work Variation 8, 1938 sold for CHF 2,280.00 (€ 1,470.77) - well above the upper estimate of CHF 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Bill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rote Strahlung (Irradiazione Rossa) in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 321,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Max Bill erzielte im März 2005 bei Christies in Genf einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion SCHWEIZER KUNST wurde die Arbeit Variation 8, 1938 für CHF 2.280,00 (€ 1.470,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CHF 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Bill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rote Strahlung (Irradiazione Rossa) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 321.000,00.
