Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study In Blue by Mauro Malang Santos was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,463.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mauro Malang Santos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow Vendor in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 825,000.00 (€ 90,801.00).

Die Arbeit Study In Blue von Mauro Malang Santos wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.463,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mauro Malang Santos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow Vendor im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 825.000,00 (€ 90.801,00).
