The work Houses by Mauro Malang Santos was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2010. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,543.72), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mauro Malang Santos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow Vendor in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 825,000.00 (€ 90,801.00).

Die Arbeit Houses von Mauro Malang Santos wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.543,72) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mauro Malang Santos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow Vendor im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 825.000,00 (€ 90.801,00).
