Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Maurizio Cattelan could be acquired at Bonhams in January this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work The Wrong Gallery changed hands for USD 701.25 (€ 645.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurizio Cattelan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Him in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 17,189,000.00 (€ 15,436,910.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurizio Cattelan konnte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner wechselte die Arbeit The Wrong Gallery für USD 701,25 (€ 645,84) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurizio Cattelan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Him im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.189.000,00 (€ 15.436.910,64).
