Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Off the white cliffs of Dover by Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2006. The price achieved of EUR 14,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coastal Scene with Sailboat, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 72,000.00 (€ 53,519.66).

Die Arbeit Off the white cliffs of Dover von Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas kam im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 14.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mauritz Frederick Hendrick de Haas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Coastal Scene with Sailboat beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 72.000,00 (€ 53.519,66) versteigert wurde.
