Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Le Grand Nuage (The Great Cloud) by Maurice Wyckaert. It changed hands for a price of EUR 8,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Wyckaert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belgian Untitled, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 24,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Grand Nuage (The Great Cloud) von Maurice Wyckaert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 8.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Wyckaert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Belgian Untitled beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 24.250,00 versteigert wurde.
