Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post- War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans titre by Maurice Wyckaert. The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Wyckaert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belgian Untitled, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 24,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post- War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Maurice Wyckaert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Wyckaert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Belgian Untitled beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 24.250,00 versteigert wurde.
