In March 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale !, which included the work The harbour of Ostend by Maurice Paul. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 840.00 68% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Paul - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Beach At Oostende, which sold at auction in June 2006 for EUR 3,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale ! durch, in der auch die Arbeit The harbour of Ostend von Maurice Paul zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 840,00 und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Paul mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Beach At Oostende beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für EUR 3.000,00 versteigert wurde.
