Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Maurice Paul could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Taking a stroll down the pier changed hands for EUR 600.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Paul have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beach At Oostende in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 3,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Paul konnte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings wechselte die Arbeit Taking a stroll down the pier für EUR 600,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Paul auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beach At Oostende im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.000,00.
