This artwork by Maurice de Vlaminck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2017. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale auction, the work Le Village sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,416.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice de Vlaminck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage de banlieue in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 22,482,500.00 (€ 15,638,912.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice de Vlaminck erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale wurde die Arbeit Le Village für USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.416,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice de Vlaminck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage de banlieue im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.482.500,00 (€ 15.638.912,08).
