Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Deux Femmes Dans Un Parc by Maurice Chabas. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,592.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Maurice Chabas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Néméa, 1894 in September 2017 with an auction result of EUR 27,300.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux Femmes Dans Un Parc von Maurice Chabas zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.592,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Chabas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Néméa, 1894 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.300,00.
