It achieved a price of USD 302,400.00 (€ 247,990.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Brazil Prendergast achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Stony Beach in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 3,526,000.00 (€ 4,170,313.42).
