In the American Art auction, the work Beach Scene, North Shore and Normandy Beach: A Double-Sided Work changed hands for USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,373.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Brazil Prendergast achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Stony Beach in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 3,526,000.00 (€ 4,170,313.42).
