Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Le Trône Roulant" from the operatic production "Lucio Silla," Lausanne, Switzerland by Mattia Bonetti was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 125.00 (€ 94.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mattia Bonetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odyssée Sideboard [Cabinet Odyssée|AID325423] in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 56,250.00.

Als die Arbeit "Le Trône Roulant" from the operatic production "Lucio Silla," Lausanne, Switzerland von Mattia Bonetti im April 2009 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 125,00 (€ 94,38) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mattia Bonetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odyssée Sideboard [Cabinet Odyssée|AID325423] im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 56.250,00.
