Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Matthias Meyer was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2012. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthias Meyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seerosen 5 in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 44,543.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Matthias Meyer wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthias Meyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seerosen 5 im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 44.543,87).
