Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Karussell oder so) by Matthias Dornfeld was sold in the Contemporary Passions auction at Sothebys in Cologne in November 2021. The price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthias Dornfeld - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Big Magic Woman), which sold at auction in February 2017 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,595.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Karussell oder so) von Matthias Dornfeld wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Passions bei Sothebys in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.040,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthias Dornfeld mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Big Magic Woman) beobachtet, die im Februar 2017 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.595,22) versteigert wurde.
