Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Water View by Matthew Franklin Johnson was auctioned at Sothebys in Sydney in November 2007. The price achieved of AUD 12,960.00 (€ 7,807.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Matthew Franklin Johnson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2005 the work Relic was auctioned for AUD 15,535.00 (€ 9,549.45).
