Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Holy Family with the Infant Saint John the Baptist by Matteo Rosselli was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings auction at Christies in London in November 2016. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,123.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matteo Rosselli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diana The Huntress in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 92,644.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Holy Family with the Infant Saint John the Baptist von Matteo Rosselli wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.123,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matteo Rosselli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diana The Huntress im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 92.644,06).
