Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Holy Family With The Annunciation To The Shepherds In The Distance by Matteo Rosselli was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,151.96). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matteo Rosselli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diana The Huntress, which sold at auction in January 2017 for USD 100,000.00 (€ 92,644.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Holy Family With The Annunciation To The Shepherds In The Distance von Matteo Rosselli im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.151,96) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Matteo Rosselli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diana The Huntress beobachtet, die im Januar 2017 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 92.644,06) versteigert wurde.
