Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Esther Before Ahasuerus by Matteo Rosselli for USD 5,625.00 (€ 3,790.18). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matteo Rosselli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana The Huntress in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 92,644.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Esther Before Ahasuerus von Matteo Rosselli für USD 5.625,00 (€ 3.790,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matteo Rosselli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana The Huntress im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 92.644,06).
