Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Jeffrey E. Horvitz Collection of Italian Drawings, which included the work A Young Boy Seen From Behind, Holding A Sword And A Cap by Matteo Rosselli. The price achieved of USD 33,400.00 (€ 22,505.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matteo Rosselli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diana The Huntress in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 92,644.06).
