It achieved a price of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,362.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matt Mullican achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 37,817.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Matt Mullican Portfolio) von Matt Mullican wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Modern Design | Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.362,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matt Mullican erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 37.817,22).
