Sold at the upper estimate price
In February 2011 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Lair of the Hessians by Matt Greene. The auction ended at the price of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,779.16), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Matt Greene have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2009 the work As Tangible as Revelrie (Reverie) was auctioned for USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,388.50).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2011 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lair of the Hessians von Matt Greene zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.779,16) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Matt Greene konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2009 die Arbeit As Tangible as Revelrie (Reverie) für USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.388,50) versteigert.
