Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Broken Family by Matt Gondek was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2021. The price achieved of HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,397.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matt Gondek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aggression in March 2021 with an auction result of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,217.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Broken Family von Matt Gondek kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 12.600,00 (€ 1.397,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matt Gondek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aggression im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.217,18).
